Adidas is a multinational giant that produces sports clothing, apparel and equipment. Established in 1949, the brand came to being as a result of a sibling rivalry, whereby the company's eventual founder and namesake, Adolf "Adi" Dassler parted ways with his elder brother Rudolph after working together on a business venture due to personal differences. Following the split, while the latter went on to form the sports brand "Puma", Dassler on the other hand, launched his own company and named it "Adidas".
